BizFed PAC ENDORSES FIRST-EVER COUNTYWIDE SLATE OF 13 KEY CANDIDATES IN 6 DIVERSE CITY RACES THIS NOVEMBER

LOS ANGELES, CA – The BizFed PAC, a project of the Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed), announced its unprecedented, organized Jobs Friendly endorsement today of more than a dozen candidates in local municipal races across Los Angeles County.

“For our region to compete in the global economy and provide the quality jobs and communities our residents deserve, our leaders must embrace a 21st Century vision for the business,” said BizFed PAC Chair Laura Olhasso. “Each of these candidates has championed issues that are important to the business community and our futures. The BizFed PAC believes these candidates will be strong leaders for our economy and communities.”

This is the first time the BizFed PAC has acted on such a wide-scale, regional basis on behalf of candidates the BizFed PAC believes will be dedicated to effecting real change, standing up for good local governance, and fostering quicker actions for more job creation to ensure all of our communities have thriving economies and solid essentials to ensure a robust quality of life for every resident.

Here is the list of BizFed PAC endorsements for the November 5 LA County municipal elections:

  • Diamond Bar City Council :  Ling Ling Chang, Nancy Lyons, Steve Tye
  • Duarte City Council:   Margaret Finlay, Tzeitel Paras-Caracci
  • El Monte City Council:  Norma Macias
  • Hermosa Beach City Council:  Patrick “Kit” Bobko, John Bowler
  • Montebello City Council:  Art Barajas, William Molinari, Vivian Romero
  • West Covina City Council:  Karin Armbrust, Mike Spence

The BizFed PAC believes these candidates exhibit the track record and experience – and will make the tough decisions needed – on critical business issues such as job creation and regulatory streamlining that advance the common interests of all our communities in LA County.
