The BizFed PAC, a project of the Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed), today announced its endorsement of former U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis (District 1) and businessman and former Santa Monica Councilman Bobby Shriver (District 3) for LA County Board of Supervisors.
The BizFed PAC also endorsed Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell for LA County Sheriff.
“Each of these candidates has demonstrated the critically-needed experience to be proactive, pragmatic and visionary leaders in these crucial LA County positions,” said BizFed PAC Chair Laura Olhasso. “We believe these candidates have the skills to successfully lead our County government through the challenges it faces, and to grow our economy and communities.”
The BizFed PAC also today announced endorsements in key municipal races across the region including Damon Dunn for Long Beach Mayor, and Tom Brewer for Torrance Mayor.
“The BizFed PAC believes these mayoral candidates will effect real change and ensure good local governance that propels our region’s economy, job-creation and fulfillment of our communities’ growing needs,” said Olhasso.
The BizFed PAC also announced endorsements in these June 3 LA County municipal elections:
Glendale City Council (special election): Rick Barnes
Torrance City Council: Heidi Ashcraft, Mike Griffiths, Geoffrey Rizzo, Alex See
